Export to China

China is a impressive market with over a growing number of middle class to wealthy individuals that are looking for unique imported "made in USA" or USA branded/designed products.

Chinese branded products of good quality available in China are rare and expensive. "What?" you question, "Everything is made in China, how can products be expensive in China?"

US / Western companies that have setup manufacturing in China control the design and quality processes, and then import their product to their respective countries. Many of the Chinese export companies simply do not sell into the Chinese domestic markets, because they are not interested or have contractual limitations placed on them by their overseas customers. If they do sell their products in China, they need to pay a 17% value added tax and they usually demand a very high mark-up.
